Class Registration Learn About William Shore Memorial Pool District's State Audits Click Here Swim Lessons We host a year-round swim lesson program for youth and adults. Swim Lesson classes occur twice a week (Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu) over a one-month period. Summer classes are Mon-Thu over a 2-week session period. Typically, each session consists of 8 classes, unless altered due to holidays. We also offer private lessons. Ask at the front desk, or email the Aquatics Manager for more details. Lap Swimming Our lap & dive pool consists of 6 lanes that are available 7 days a week. Open times for this pool are available on our schedule . No reservations are needed. Typically lap lanes are closed in the afternoons for Swim Team & Club reservations . When not in use for aerobics classes, the new Wellness pool is also a great option for warmer-water exercise, water-walking, and swimming. Exercise and Therapy Classes Shore Aquatic Center will run a variety of exercise classes to suit all goals and ability levels. Classes are taught 6 days a week. Visit our Water Aerobics or Dry Land Classes page for schedules and class descriptions. Party Rentals Visit our Party Page and fill out a request to hold your Birthday, Sports Team, or Family Gathering at the Shore Aquatic Center. Availability will be discussed over the phone after a party request has been submitted.

FREQUENTLY ASKEd QUESTIONS General Facility Questions How long are the new pools in terms of a workout? If you are working out in the Lazy River, it would take 45 laps to walk a mile. In the Wellness Pool, 88 lengths of the pool would be a mile (44 laps down & back). In the Lap Lanes it is 25 yds. (35 down and back) to equal one mile. What play features are in your Activity Pool? We have multiple new play features including our Lazy River, vortex, spray features such as a large whale tail, mushroom toy, underwater features, and more. Our Activity Pool also features zero-depth entry and underwater benches. Are mermaid tail skins allowed in the facility? Unfortunately, they are not. STAR GUARD guidelines state they're not permitted in an aquatics facility. Because we must follow these guidelines to remain compliant; we currently do not allow them. The mono fin that is inside IS allowed.

Click HERE Frequent Questions *Why do I have a party host?"- This person is responsible for ensuring the room is clean, handling any issues during your event, keeping your party in its time frame, and cleaning up after your event for the next parties. *Why only 2 hours?" - We have found- in contacting other aquatic centers that offer similar options- that 2 hours is the average time needed for a party room.. We encourage those who have older kids who will want more swim time to reserve the earlier time slot, exit the room at the end of your 2 hour block, and stay and swim until closing! *Why 3 weeks in advance?"- There are many party requests for every weekend; the sooner you get your request in the more likely you are to get that time frame. You can wait and see if a cancellation happens but we cannot hold timeslots.

Swim & Dive Teams Port Angeles High School Swim and Dive Teams SHORE Aquatic Center hosts Port Angeles High School Division 2A Girls & Boys Swim & Dive teams. The Girls' season is in the fall and begins as soon as school starts in September. The boys' season immediately follows in late October. Athletic Eligibility To be eligible for athletics at PAHS A student must: Live within the boundaries of the Port Angeles School District & be living with your parents or your legal guardians. Be in full attendance in school last semester and have passed all classes. Be a full-time student currently within the Port Angeles School District and passing all classes. Not be over the age of 19 or in your fifth or more year of high school. Not have transferred to Port Angeles High School for athletic reasons. Have a completed athletic clearance packet on file and be holding a current, valid student body card from Port Angeles High School. Not be a professional athlete in the sport you are playing. Abide by the current Port Angeles High School athletic code. Any questions may be directed to the PAHS Athletic Director.
