I remember when I was walking down the sidewalk protesting the closure of the facility; it's crazy to see how far it has come. It is now my mission to preserve the district physically and fiscally." We encourage those who have older kids who will want more swim time to reserve the earlier time slot, exit the room at the end of your 2 hour block, and stay and swim until closing! *Why 3 weeks in advance?"- There are many party requests for every weekend; the sooner you get your request in the more likely you are to get that time frame. You can wait and see if a cancellation happens but we cannot hold timeslots.

  • Meet the Board

Meet The Board Board of Commissioners & Advisory Committee Application "Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I served in the US Army, Infantry and spent 1968 in Vietnam, coming home as a First Lieutenant. Graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills, with a BA and MA in English literature, linguistics, and writing. I have worked a variety jobs: cook; warehouse shipping clerk; on a pipeline gang and as a pipeline dispatcher for Union Oil; residential electrician; taught writing for Peninsula College extension; drove the bookmobile for NOLS; and sold real estate. I built and remodeled houses as a general contractor. I enjoy reading, writing, and occasional stabs at golf. And, somehow, I never seem to run out of projects. I look forward to the post-pandemic era when I can travel to far-away places. I have been married for fifty+ years. My wife and I bought our house in Port Angeles in 1976. I am happy my daughter and son-in-law live close by and that my favorite grand-daughter and her family also live here.
