Meet our Team
Steve started working for the District as an Advisory Committee member when the district was formed in 2009 then became the Executive Director in 2010. He has been involved in operating commercial pools for over two decades and is certified as an Aquatic Facility Operator and has graduated from the National Aquatics Management School.
Steve grew up in San Diego and moved to Port Angeles to raise his family in 2001. Steve has two kids who are in college and his wife, Cindy, works at Olympic Medical Center.
Steve enjoys the outdoors and likes to ride his Jet skis to Victoria in the summer.
Jessica joined the district in 2017. Her background in recreation varies from Sports and Athletics, Special Events, Outdoor Education and Aquatics. A graduate of Northern Michigan University with a B.S. in Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management and M.S. in Training Development and Human Performance.
She holds certifications as Lifeguard instructor with StarGUARD and American Red Cross, Trainer for Starfish Aquatics Learn to Swim program, Leave No Trace Master Educator Instructor and CPRP(Certified Parks and Recreation Professional).
In her free time she enjoys traveling (she has 3 continents left to visit!), reading and taking her dog to the beach. The best part of her job is working with a fun diverse group of individuals everyday.
Brianna was born and raised in Forks, WA. She graduated from Forks High School in 2019, graduated from Peninsula College with her AA degree in 2020 and is pursuing an AAS for Medical Assisting.
Brianna loves to spend her free time in nature on hikes, at the beaches around Forks with her little sister, or watching a movie. She has been working with SPARK Squad since November of 2019. Her favorite part of working at SPARK has been getting to know all of the kids and hearing all of their creative stories.

Virginia grew up in Illinois then moved to Port Angeles with her family before high school. She graduated in 2010 then attended Peninsula College. She worked at the pool in high school then again starting in 2012.
Virginia has 3 young boys and loves spending time with her family camping, hiking, playing sports, and going to the park.
"I really value being a part of the pool and SPARK Squad because the kids in our community really deserve to have a fun and supportive place to go. I believe in our pool's mission and cherish the opportunity to be a part of it."
Sarah has lived in Port Angeles her whole life. She was on the Port Angeles High School Swim Team all through high school then went to Peninsula College and graduated with her AA. She has been working at the pool since 2015, starting as a swim instructor when she was 16. "I enjoy working with kids, especially when I get to teach."
Sarah still loves swimming and enjoys music and spending time with her family.
With her position, Sarah "...looks forward to being more connected to the community through the activities the pool provides."
